Classic Soft Bridal Makeup

Hey all! If you've been following me on Instagram you've seen my monthly makeup inspirations (aka #monthlymakeupinspo) where I highlight certain products that I feel fit the month because of season, holiday, ect. This months is focused on a soft classic bridal look because

1. April is my wedding month.
    and
2. My best friend Mckenzie is also getting married at the end of this month!

I have the great honor of getting to do her makeup for the big day so I'm in practice mode for the next few weeks. (If you'd like to volunteer to come over and lend me your face, please send me a message!) This is the first look I've tried out because it's probably the most sought after look for a mix of glam and classic.

Below are pictures of the look I completed with some of the products featured in this months inspo, what those products are and what products were used to achieve this look!
Let's talk products! In this months inspiration  picture you will find:
Red Cherry Lashes #217 //  NYX HD Concealer  //  MAC lipstick in Modesty // Dinair Airbrush Foundation //  Bobbi Brown Blush in Tawny // Chloe Perfume // Love sweet Love Perfume // Becca x Jaclyn Hill highlighter in Champagne Pop // OPI polish in Samoan Sand // Mac Fix + //
Shadows Listed Below
Shadows (Left to Right) :
Anastasia Beverly Hills Vanilla // Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream // Morphe ES76 Pink Moscato //
Makeup Geek Glamorous // MAC Swiss Chocolate // Makeup Geek Mocha //
Eyes:
+ Prime with Urban Decay primer in Eden. Then set primer right away with the shade Cream. I apply it to my whole lid for a smooth and clean base for blending. ( and to cover the discoloration on my eyelids!)
+ Apply Makeup Geek Créme Brulee to the crease. Start with minimal product and continue to go over it to build intensity.
+ Then apply Mac Swiss Chocolate to the outer V and inner crease till the middle of the eye. Apply Luscious (from the too faced sweet peach palette) and Morphe Pink Moscato to the lid. (just pink moscato works just as well, just spray with fix plus for added intensity)
+ Elf liner in Black to the upper lid,  apply a light layer of mascara then pop on Red Cherry lashes on 217.
Face:
Maybelline Matte and Poreless foundation // Nyx Dark Circle Concealer  //  NYX Concealer in a Jar in Green // NYX HD Concealer // Smashbox Contour Sticks // Kat Von D Light and Shade Palette // RCMA No Color Powder // Too Faced Bronzers in Chocolate Soleil and Sun Bunny // Mac Fix + //
Feather Brows:
Mac Modesty on the lips and Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne pop as a highlight! If you have this highlight you know how addicting the peachy gold tone can be. It's hard to reach for another highlighter.

I hope this little bridal look gives you some inspiration, or at least entertained you for a few minutes ;) Feel free to shoot me a message with any questions you have.
I am so in love with weddings (the planning, the pictures, the makeup, the flowers, the love!) and I'm so glad I got to do a little something to celebrate this special month. I hope to do a few more makeup things in the upcoming future. Thanks for stopping by!
xoxo

PS: How gorgeous is my BFF Kenz?! I can't wait for her big day!!

Wedding Announcements: Huckleberry Paper

So now that our wedding announcements have been sent out and all is said and done, I'd like to share a little bit of their history with you. They were hand painted for us by the fabulous Haley Smith who started Huckleberry Paper!

Haley is the sweetest: she is stunning AND talented. (not fair, right?) I met Haley when we were 10 and 11 at church, when we both lived in Saint Louis. I always thought she was the coolest, and when she asked me to come to her house and hangout one day I was STOKED. She was artistic from the start I suppose, and she showed me some fashion sketches she did. ( is it creepy that I remember all of this? maybe, but that's how I do). She even let me spend the night one time in which I preceded to fall off of the top bunk of her bunk bed and her parents came and picked me up after hearing a loud thud. I remembered none of it the next morning…

She and I both moved and I found her sometime later on Facebook, and saw the beautiful things she was painting! She offered to do my wedding announcements and I was ON BOARD. I mean have you seen her work? Well if not you will soon;)

She was so good about calling me and asking what colors I wanted, even the size of flowers. I pretty much just left that up to her since I trusted her judgment there. It was so lovely to have something that is so beautiful AND totally one of a kind for our wedding. I could not be more happy with how they turned out.

If you want to see more of Miss Haleys work and get in contact with her check her out on Facebook at HUCKLEBERRYPAPER -or click that link I just gave you ;)

Also if you have yet to RSVP whether you can OR cannot make it, it isn't too late to do so- just shoot us an email on www.joynerwedding.com

Many a thanks to Haley, you are one talented lady

The Knoblauch Wedding!

So this past memorial day weekend was Crystal and Brent's wedding! Crystal and Chase met at the Disney program last winter! She is seriously the cutest little thing EVER. (She was even Minnie at Disney is what I hear!) and she was a STUNNING bride.Plus, she's from Texas which we all know produces the best people..maybe I'm biased. I absolutely love the Salt Lake temple and they are just too cute together. Here are a couple pics from the temple:
( That's actually my Texas ring and it's a 4.5...but still huge on crystals middle finger!)
The Disney Employee Point...because as we all know, pointing with one finger is rude..
My favorite person
And on to the Reception! My camera decided to crap out right before it started so I don't have many pictures but their reception was at The Castle in Lindon and it was perfect for the beautiful and warm day outside. Super laid back and fun- I danced like a weirdo and had tons of fun.
So basically it was super fun, their wedding was adorable and congrats to them on a wonderful start to their eternity! Congrats Crystal and Brent Knoblauch!

Claire says "Yes to the Dress"

I have been horrible at keeping up with the blog...being on track will do that too you..but a couple weeks ago Claire and I went into Idaho Falls, to Treasure's, to look for her wedding dress. Crazy stuff huh? I felt like I should make all these comments like I hear on "say yes to the dress" but most the time I just said "that's pretty". I'm super helpful I know... But it was honestly pretty cool to see her pick a dress, and she picked THE dress! Only 4 more months till I will have to change Claire's contact name in my phone from " Claire Ross roommie" to "claire NELSON roommie"...or maybe ex roommie..but that might be too sad so I might not put the Ex in there. The following pictures are not THE dress (because Spencer her fiance' is not allowed to see the dress! shhhh!) the up close ones are little hints though;)
Excuse the fact the I felt the need to make everything black and white....the lighting was a little orange so It was buggin me. So glad I got to be there for the engagement, the dress picking and soon the Wedding!
