Classic Soft Bridal Makeup

Hey all! If you've been following me on Instagram you've seen my monthly makeup inspirations (aka #monthlymakeupinspo) where I highlight certain products that I feel fit the month because of season, holiday, ect. This months is focused on a soft classic bridal look because

1. April is my wedding month.
    and
2. My best friend Mckenzie is also getting married at the end of this month!

    I have the great honor of getting to do her makeup for the big day so I'm in practice mode for the next few weeks. (If you'd like to volunteer to come over and lend me your face, please send me a message!) This is the first look I've tried out because it's probably the most sought after look for a mix of glam and classic.

Below are pictures of the look I completed with some of the products featured in this months inspo, what those products are and what products were used to achieve this look!

Eyes:

+ Prime with Urban Decay primer in Eden. Then set primer right away with the shade Cream. I apply it to my whole lid for a smooth and clean base for blending. ( and to cover the discoloration on my eyelids!)
+ Apply Makeup Geek Créme Brulee to the crease. Start with minimal product and continue to go over it to build intensity.
+ Then apply Mac Swiss Chocolate to the outer V and inner crease till the middle of the eye. Apply Luscious (from the too faced sweet peach palette) and Morphe Pink Moscato to the lid. (just pink moscato works just as well, just spray with fix plus for added intensity)
+ Elf liner in Black to the upper lid,  apply a light layer of mascara then pop on Red Cherry lashes on 217.

Mac Modesty on the lips and Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne pop as a highlight! If you have this highlight you know how addicting the peachy gold tone can be. It's hard to reach for another highlighter.

My Best Friends Wedding

That sounds like a movie title huh?! I bet it is. I never watch movies so I wouldn't know… SO one of my very best friends in the whole world got married in August! And now you're thinking " I knew you said you sucked at blogging, but really? that as like 4 months ago." It's true, I really do suck at this. It would be a lot easier if I didn't have to edit the pictures first but how could I even do that…..I couldn't. Thats the answer. 

My parents bought me a ticket to go to Dallas in August (Thank you!) and I was able to see my BFF since 8th grade married to her love. (yeah, I said BFF. Deal wit it.) It was fantastic, and fun and over 100 degrees. yayyyyy Texas in August. I was sweating bullets before 11 am.

So I always think I have to show pictures in chronological order but then I remember, "Hey! This is my blog! I do what I want!" and then I proceeded to do what I want.

It was a super hot day, but sunny and beautiful- typical Texas ;) I can't believe my best friend got married already and I could not be more happy for her! I loved being able to go visit her and Trevor in their new apartment in Rexburg the time I was visiting. Sometimes it seems surreal.

We couldn't wait to get into Young Womens. We couldn't wait to go to stake dances. We couldn't wait to have boyfriends, to turn 16, to start driving. We'd all walk to Kroger, and we'd decorate our walls, and we'd have a triangle of trust. Stephanie and I cried on a bed together when we decided what to do for college, and how plans don't go the way you see them going but it turns out for the best anyways. 

It's been the three of us, and It will be till we're old and wrinkly. I know God placed me with these ladies for a reason, and I am always grateful. Stephanie has made my life better in so many ways and even though Trevor is her best friend now, she'll always have her girls. It's Ken+Joe+Steve forever, right? I love you Steph! 

Provo Utah Girls

Guys. I suck at updating my blog this semester....I apologize for my slacky-ness. ( I just made that word and will continue to use it from now on). So here's the low down- I went back to Provo to visit my bestfriend. The end. Have a great day!

Just kidding! (I told you I'm not good at jokes). Let's get on with this...awkward. So I went to see Mckenzie and it was dandy. Chase and I were planning this trip for a while and were counting down the days when lo and behold the universe decided to say "hey jovanna, you know what would be really fun? throwing up before you go to utah". The thing is the universe was wrong, it was not fun...in any way. So i spent the whole night before we were supposed to leave with food poisoning ( to be honest with you i think it might have been the taco bell with bubbles in the meat...I love you taco bell but how could you betray me so). Chase came over and watched movies with me and brought me ginger ale and bread. He's probably the sweetest guy ever. Basically tried to suck it up and we went to utah anyways. 

Got to hangout with my bestfriend, the awesome lindsay and my gorgeous Plano, Texas girls kayla and heather. 

It was seriously great to be with friends from home again and rehash old stories. My friends got to meet ( and approve) of my boyfriend. Good news, they seem to like him. I know you were all worried...

Kayla and heather had a bonfire in their apartment. Look how creative they are. This is why I like them.

Breakfast at the awful waffle- I highly recommend it if you love delicious crepes and waffles that taste like love hope and magic in your mouth. Personally, I like the taste of love hope and magic. 

The fall in provo, one word: bicycle. Nope, not really-the word is gorgeous. The leaves are super pretty, trust me on this one. 

yeah...that bridal magazine is in the cougar eat....welcome to BYU children... 

We went to the BYU symphony and guess who we ran into....

Mikey Mike Moon! From Plano! Ward buddies are my favorite. This good man is going on a mission to California soon- he's cool. I'm so glad we ran into him!

Basically, loved seeing my friends...

And my bestfriend is still one of the coolest dolphins I know. She always makes me laugh and I'm always inspired by the person she is. Best friends forever- selina and demi.
