Danish Christmas Party 16

I had never had Danish food before. That is, before December, 3 of 2016. Lucky for me- Krystle and Michael are in the business of being fantastic chefs.
Michael hails from Denmark and he and Krystle prepared a Delicious feast. We dressed in our "fancy clothes", took pictures and ate our hearts out.
We also took many photos in said fancy attire. I am learning how to handle an indoor flash and am failing (gracefully? I wish) but my friends are very patient with my incompetence. #naturallightphotographerprobs #longhashtags
Look at these gorgeous and hilarious humans. I like them.

These lovely ladies have made my time in Dallas worthwhile. (missing lynda!!!) They are gorgeous inside and out #sappysappy
And these men we love so much even though they have a strange sense of humor. Also, they might possibly have more of a yaya sisterhood than the ladies do.... ??
Did a white elephant exchange, played lots of games and ate an amazing dessert (the name escapes me at this moment....) BUT I do know that you have to find the one almond hidden in the dessert and whoever finds it wins! The catch, there are many little almond slivers in the dessert. There was a lot of slow chewing involved. Savoring, if you will.
These delish Danish potatoes.

Waiting for delish Danish potatoes.
As per usual, I didn't write a whole ton, but as I mentioned before (and will probably mention a million more times) I am not a good writer and this is really a little online journal for me. I keep it public for people like me, creepers. To look at pictures of other people doing life things to kill time. Thanks for keeping my blog alive friends.
I love these wonderful people and I am so glad they think we are cool enough to hangout with them.

 Merry Christmas
Love,

Favorite Dog Toy

So I don't write reviews about dog stuff often because
A. they don't really make that much of an impact on our lives and
B. I don't think anyone cares (but maybe I will now? Because I love taking pictures of Winston)
I saw a post on Facebook from Amanda where she said she was making dog toys and it sparked my interest! Unpoppable, and soft. Two things my dog loves. You could choose from so many colors and 3 different sizes so I messaged her to ask about which would be best for Winston (he is 35-40 pounds) and he doesn't seem to like toys that are a little too big for his mouth. She gave me some advice on what her dogs like and I went with a medium. It is perfect! Details below...
I absolutely love that it's a toy that goes with our home. It doesn't look cheap or hokey like the other dogs toys we buy. It can pass for a pillow in both rooms of our house and it's the one toy I don'€™t mind if he leaves lying around. DOG MOM WIN.
I was really worried that we could get the toy in he mail, that I would love the way it looked but he wouldn't want to play with it (this happens often. I get more excited about toys than he does???) But luckily for us he LOVES it. I mean LOOOOVESSS it. It's the only toy he's played with since we got it and he carries it around with him everywhere he goes. Chase even looked at me the other day and said "good purchase" accompanied by a high five. GUYS. I got a high five from chase for spending money. I don't even know how that happened.
I really love supporting small businesses but I love it even more if it's a great product that someone made with their own 2 hands. There is something so great about people's various talents and I love having bit's of those cool talents scattered all around my home.
So where can you get one of these fabulous toys?
This is Amanda's Etsy shop here --> Amanda Lynn Crochet

Thanks for reading friends! ( and enduring my obsession with my dog. It's normal....right?)

Bishop Arts

So if you follow any of my photography you know this isn't really my usual editing style but I really wanted to branch out and have some fun with it. Sometimes you need to let yourself out of the box and explore when you have a chance. Editing moody gave me a little of that when it comes to photography. Thanks to Krystle, Michael and Chase for being great models this day!
We started out with BYOC on slurpee day at 7-11. We aren't too extreme as you may have noticed. Then we made our way down the the Bishop Arts district! You would be surprised the amount of places I have NOT been to in Dallas even though I went to high school here. #planoprobs
First stop was a little bookshop/coffee shop called The Wild Detectives!
We FINALLY tried lockharts barbecue (thank you too all the friends who recommended it) and it was DELISH. I'm not a huge BBQ person but it was honestly so good and that mac and cheese...... *shivers*. YUMMMM O.
Look at this guy making amazing street art. Absolutely stunning. (Read that in a Gordan Ramsey voice. Cause I've been watching a lot of kitchen nightmares) Don't people have some amazing talents?! I just blows my mind.
Yeah. Please don't.
I'm not much of a writer as of late but I really am trying to get my biz together when it comes to blogging because I miss being able to go back and look through memories. :) So here's to hoping I get better at writing! (which means we need a miracle to happen. I'm looking at you "Will write for tacos..." *name dropping*)
